One Acre Pacific View,
Landscaped Garden Home
Buena Vista, Panama
NEW! lower price $169,500

One Acre Pacific View, Garden Home

Offered for sale at NEW LOWER PRICE : $169,500 USD.

This immaculate, beautifully landscaped, former coffee farm, has views clear to the Bay of Chiriqui on the Pacific Ocean and to eastern hills of Costa Rica. This one acre, former coffee plantation has approximately 2,000 square feet, of under-roof living space.

The house comes with 2 bedrooms, one and a half bathrooms, a dining/lounge area and a living room.  The kitchen is centrally located so food can be served through an arch into the living room or via the breakfast nook into the lounge.

The master bedroom and guest room are well appointed and the house has modern tiled floors throughout.

The location in Chiriqui's "Buena Vista Abajo" area has possibly one of the best living climates in the world. At 2,200 feet above sea level, you do not have, the sometimes excessive, heat and humidity of the coastal area, rather, being half way up the slopes of Panama's highest mountain, the 11,400 foot Baru Volcano, you have eternal, spring fresh mountain air.  Perhaps global warming has changed the local environment in Chiriqui, because so far this year there has only been four times when the day started completely overcast. So we are adding another term to Chiriqui highland living besides the "Land of Eternal Spring" we now enjoy almost year round "Blue Sky Mornings."

You will not need expensive air conditioning or heating - ever. Think how much you spend on that in North America? On the days when the temps nudge the high 80's Fahrenheit, simply switch on the ceiling fans. Nighttimes, are always cool at this elevation, so you will sleep soundly and then awake to the chorus of multi-coloured tropical birds.

THE VIEWS: From the front or rear porch you can see as far as the Bay of Chiriqui. On certain days large ships can be seen with the naked eye as they dock at the PTP terminal. At night, the owners say they can see the nearby lights of the small town of Santa Marta and in the distance, the lights of the port City of Puerto Armuelles.

The property is situated almost half way between Volcan and Concepcion. Both towns offer a wide array of shopping services. Volcan, will soon open its 8th Supermarket. So a 15 minute drive either way will fill the majority of your shopping needs. A 25 minute drive will bring you to the Panama's third largest city; David. David boosts first world shopping and hospitals as well as a developing International Airport.

Above and below pictures of the 700 square foot. covered patio. In the tropics this is where most people live; out of doors but under cover.

The property has a small stream at the foot of the garden; a wonderful place of peace and tranquility, the only sounds are the birds and the gentle babbling of the stream as it meanders downhill

There is a washer and dryer in the laundry room and a covered parking area with a sizable storage bodega.

SERVICES: The home has Wi-Fi internet and Satellite television. Water comes from a nearby spring and is stored in an in-ground water tank. The house is on a narrow country lane, just .2 of a kilometer from the main Volcan to Concepcion highway. The house has a washer and dryer and a small laundry room. The home can be purchased almost as a "turn-key" with all the furniture.

The beaches of Chiriqui are less than an hours' drive away.  The area around Volcan has a huge International Park as well as numerous waterfalls, hot springs and hiking trails.

Additionally, the owners have for sale, a separate 9,000 square meter parcel adjoining the property. This is offered for sale at $6 a square meter. (Locally some property has sold for $15 a meter). The owners' will negotiate if you wish to buy this optional acreage as well as the home.

The home is offered "For Sale By Owner" at $169,500 US.

Please email the owners for further information: gkohle1@yahoo.com
