The Tierras Altas (highlands) Flower Festival will be a major boost for tourism in the town of Volcan.
Visitors are astounded that we have flowers of all kinds blooming all year.
Now, the natural floral beauty of Panama will be on display in the town of Volcan on September, 11th, 12th and 13th 2015.
Wait there's more!
In addition there will be live music from the band of Daniel Octavio Crespo, Lesly Santamaria and Ulpiano Vergara.
There are plans to award prizes of $7,000 and $10,000 with a panel of International judges.
In addition there will an "Easter Parade" type event featuring Flower adorned hats and (wait for this) An accordion contest.
There will be a Folkloric festival as well as flower bedecked vehicle parade
through the center of Volcan.
Help and donations needed.
Obviously there will be a need for financial assistance for advertising, set-up etc.
