Images of Volcan, Panama.

Volcan is a town of about 10,000 people located in the Chiriqui mountains of western Panama. The main street has an elevation of 4,200 feet but the neighbouring dormant volcano (the Baru Volcano, Panama’s highest peak) rises to nearly 12,000 feet. The climate has been described as being one of “eternal spring.” It ranges from a nightime low of about 60F to a daytime high of 80F. December to mid-April are the driest months and the wettest months are October and November.
